Lighten up!

I tried this lighting technique on a model head shots couple of times. On this particular model, Elsa, it worked out great.

Behind Elsa is a studio light with a soft box (65 x 65 cm) and as a main light is studio light with and reflecting silver umbrella. Setup diagram below.

In this frame the model makes the photo happen.  Her pose and presence tells a story. Love it.
